Nursery – Ladybird Class
Mrs Fiona Brown
Teaching Partner
From September 2023 we will be creating an Early years foundation Stage Unit providing 12 spaces for children the term after they turn 3 and 30 places for children entering their Reception year (the academic year they turn 5). We will no longer be able to offer places for children who are 2 1/2 years old.
Welcome to Ladybird Class – Nursery
We are called Ladybird Class and our learning is led by an experienced and qualified Teacher supported by a well-qualified Early Years Teaching Partner.
We aim to create a happy, secure and stimulating environment in which each child will be given opportunities to develop socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually.
During their time in the nursery our highly qualified and experienced Early Years team, will promote the needs of each individual child and help your child to develop a wide range of skills in preparation for school.
The Nursery curriculum is carefully planned and structured to encourage the development of these early skills through practical ‘play’ activities. Children’s progress is monitored and recorded so the needs of the ‘whole’ child can be met appropriately.
The Nursery is very much an integral part of the school and provides the best possible preparation for future life at school.
We actively encourage a close partnership between home and school by working together to support your child’s needs.
Starting school may be a new experience in your family, or perhaps you have older children already in school. Whatever your previous experiences of education, we aim to make this a happy and exciting partnership and a firm foundation on which to build your child’s future.
