Visiting

Childhood is a special time, and we are committed to making school life as happy and productive as possible for your child, and every child in our care.

Starting at a new school, whether your child is starting nursery, reception or moving from another school, can be scary for both children and parents. We encourage families to come visit our school and get a feel for what the school day is like here.

Starting Nursery

If you have a applied for and been offered a place at our nursery you will be invited to a ‘meet the teacher’ evening – an information event for parents and carers to find out more about our setting and the children’s learning in Early Years.

For your children there will be a special ‘stay and play’ session where you and your child can stay for a session in nursery together – so you can both familiarise yourselves with the setting and meet new friends.

Starting Reception

Children who will be starting a new academic year with us in our Reception Class will be invited to spend the day when the existing pupils in the school have a ‘class swap day’. This will be held in July and on this day all the children “shuffle-up” to spend the day in their new classrooms and with their new teachers.

New to the area

In deciding where you would like your child to go to school, it is really important to find out as much as you can about the schools themselves. If you are moving to the area we think it is a good idea to arrange a visit to our school, we want you to be confident that we are a good fit for you and your child.

Please get in touch with the school office to arrange a visit.
